AGUAPLACK Joint Filling Compounds
Excellent filling capacity, superior performance, easy sanding.
Formulated using the raw materials that Beissier has traditionally used for painters fillers, Aguaplack jointing compounds combine essential properties for efficient application and flawless work performance.
Aguaplack joint compounds are suitable across all Quality Levels Q1 to Q4, from joint filling to skim coating the complete surface to the highest quality standard.
The European Union of contractors of plastering, dry lining, stucco and related activities (UEEP) and Eurogypsum have edited a classification scheme for the various surface finish quality levels. This is divided into four finish levels: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4.
The purpose of this classification is to introduce a European quality level manual for laminated plasterboard system finishes that applies throughout Europe, with its guidelines being adapted to national standards.
-
QUALITY LEVEL 1
Basic plastering level required for plasterboards that will be covered with tiles, slabs, etc. This includes simple joint filling and covering fixing devices or screws.
-
QUALITY LEVEL 2
Standard plasterboard finishing level suitable for medium and coarse structured wall coverings like textured wallpaper, standard wallpaper, fiberglass decorative cloth, medium and coarse structured paint coatings, etc.
This is equivalent to basic filling (Q1) and finishing in order to achieve a continuous transition to the board surface, including sanding the jointed areas if necessary.
-
QUALITY LEVEL 3
Special surface finishing suitable for fine structured wall coverings, matt and fine structured paint coatings, etc. Jointing and finishing in accordance with quality level 3 includes jointing and finishing to Q2, plus wider finishing of the joint and a tight coat of joint compound to the entire plasterboard surface, filling the pores.
-
QUALITY LEVEL 4
High-end drywall surface required for smooth or structured glossy wall coverings, vinyl wallpapers, gloss and silky paints, or stucco marble or similar specialist decorative finishes. Quality Level 4 includes jointing and finishing to Q2 plus a complete surface covering of skim coat with a suitable material (minimum thickness > 1 mm) to achieve a perfectly high-end even background.
